Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
I'll Be There, a service of Knox Adaptive Solutions LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), operates the I'll Be There mobile application and the website at illbethereapp.com (together, the "Service").
Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to help your family stay connected:
- Account information: your name and email address, used to create and secure your account.
- Family and activity information: children's first names, group names, and activity details (such as game dates, times, and locations) that you choose to add.
- Location information: a home-base location and, with your permission, your device location, used to show you which games are happening nearby. You control this and can turn it off at any time.
- Usage information: basic technical data such as device type and app interactions, used to keep the Service working reliably.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core features of the Service — showing schedules, locations, and directions to your family.
- To send you account-related and activity notifications you've asked for.
- To secure accounts and prevent abuse.
- To improve and maintain the Service.
SMS and Messaging
How you opt in: You provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages from I'll Be There when you create your account and verify your phone number in the app. We send texts only for the purposes you've agreed to — such as account verification and notifications about your family's activities. We never share your phone number with third parties so they can market to you.
Children's Privacy — Our Highest Priority
I'll Be There exists to help the people who love a child be present for that child's games and activities. That means our Service necessarily handles sensitive information — a child's first name, the activities they take part in, and when and where those activities happen. We treat this information with more care than anything else we hold, and we have designed the Service from the ground up to protect it.
Parents and guardians are in control
A child's information is only ever added and managed by their managing parent or guardian. The parent decides which activities are recorded, which family group(s) a child belongs to, and who is allowed to see them. Sharing is granular and opt-in: a parent chooses exactly which family members receive updates about each child — person by person — rather than broadcasting to an entire group. Parents can review, correct, or delete their child's information, or change who can see it, at any time, directly in the app or by contacting us.
Who can see a child's activities and location
A child's activities and locations are visible only to the members of the private family group(s) that the child's parent has chosen to share them with. They are never public, never searchable, and never visible to other users of the Service. To further protect children, we apply these safeguards by design:
- Extended family and other invited viewers see a child's games only. Practices and other routine activities are hidden from viewers, so a child's everyday whereabouts are not broadcast.
- People join a family group only by accepting a direct invitation tied to their email address. There is no way to request access to a child or to use a different email to gain access.
- No one can add themselves to a group. Every new member must be approved by the group's administrator (the group owner), so membership is always controlled by a trusted adult.
- A minor can never be placed in an organizing or administrative role over a group.
- A parent can remove a viewer, or remove a child from a group, at any time, which immediately stops further sharing.
How we minimize location information
We collect and show only the location information needed to help family get to a child's game — the venue for an activity, and an approximate sense of how far away it is. A parent can set a private "home base" and enable a privacy mode so that their precise home address is not exposed to others in a group. We do not track a child's real-time movements, and we do not build location-history profiles of children.
Children under 13
Children under 13 do not create or hold their own accounts. Any information about a child under 13 is provided and controlled by their parent or guardian, who acts on the child's behalf and provides consent under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13. A parent may review the information we hold about their child, ask us to delete it, and refuse to allow further collection at any time by contacting us at the email below. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information directly, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Teens ages 13 to 17
A teen aged 13 to 17 may use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian, and any teen account is created or authorized by that parent or guardian. Teens are treated as minors within the Service: they cannot hold organizing roles, and the same protections that apply to younger children apply to them.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With other members of family groups you choose to join or create.
- With trusted service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting and database providers), under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Data Retention & Your Choices
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by contacting us. You can also disable location sharing and notifications from within the app.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secure authentication. No method of transmission is ever 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your family's data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
